Email Marketing services generally use ‘information gathering email pixels’ for ‘analytics’. Also known as ‘hot pixels’ and ‘web beacons’ these are embedded into marketing emails and transmit information back to the sender such as when you opened the email and from what IP address. While we find this generally creepy, the best we can do is let you know that it happens. Canadian Anti-Spam laws require an automated unsubscribe option for emails, which we are not clever enough to code without using a service. We are certainly open to suggestions. If we could give you the option of opting in or out of this, we would. You can read your emails whenever from wherever you want without it changing our behavior. The mailing list is to make sure we can stay connected about music, that’s it.
